A rug can hold a room together (here’s how to choose yours)
Size, fibre, and the courage to pick a pattern — a short, practical guide to the piece your floor has been waiting for.

Furniture gets the budget, walls get the debate — and then a rug quietly decides whether the room works. It sets the temperature underfoot, draws the seating together, and gives a space its posture.
Size first, always
The most common mistake is buying small. In a sitting room, the front legs of every seat should land on the rug; in a bedroom, it should reach past the mattress far enough to greet your morning feet.
Fibre is the feel
Wool bounces back and shrugs off crumbs; cotton washes easily and suits play spaces; blends split the difference. Our makers work in natural fibres because they wear in, not out.
Pattern is courage
A patterned rug forgives spills, hides traffic, and does the decorating for you. Pick the one you keep coming back to — hesitation is usually taste trying to be heard.
When you’re ready, the hand-tufted pieces in our rugs range — including Noul’s kids-room favourites — are made to be lived on.
